Masoud Borbor is a fiction writer, narratologist, and narrative designer.
With over two decades of experience weaving narratives as a novelist, journalist, and creative writing instructor, Masoud has now traded the solitary world of novel writing for the chaotic, beautiful realm of game development. He specializes in transforming ancient mythologies, deep character psychology, and existential dread into interactive gameplay mechanics.
Deeply rooted in the Iranian literary community, Masoud is the author of several books, including the novel
Laughter of Dread and Loneliness (2024) and the novella collection
Upon the Ruins of Gods (2025). He has taught creative writing and narratology at various institutes
and hosted over 900 consecutive nights of live fiction recitation and literary analysis, building a highly
engaged community of storytelling enthusiasts.
Whether crafting a 3000-year-old nightmare for a video game or writing a contemporary novel, his core belief remains the same: Fabula Porta Libertatis est (Story is a gate to liberty).
